NWA strap to Cage benefits TNA

In what has to be considered good news for fans of TNA, Christian Cage defeated Sting and Abyss to become NWA world champion for the second time in his short tenure with the company.
This clearly is a step in the right direction for TNA, which had a nice run with Abyss but needed a change. Fans like Sting, but having an old WCW star holding the belt is not where the company needs to be.
Cage becomes a bit of a vulnerable champion, someone who could get knocked off on any given night. The move paves the way for Kurt Angle to win the title and take TNA to the next level. Angle will get his shot at Cage in February.
