BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In just under two weeks, six of RAW’s top Superstars will compete in a first-ever “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match, where the winner will receive a contract, good for one year, that will allow him a single opportunity to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Since the announcement of this historic encounter, Edge, Christian, Chris Benoit, Kane, Chris Jericho and Shelton Benjamin have all been honing their skills in a variety of matches against one another. But as much as these matches have given the Superstars a chance to see how they will stack up against their prospective opponents, nothing can fully prepare them for the hellacious battle they will compete in on April 3.

This week, WWE.com caught up with each of the six “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match competitors to find out who (of their five WrestleMania opponents) they think will pose the biggest threat. Here’s what they had to say:

Christian
“Well, you’re gonna have six tough guys in there, but if I had to pick the toughest opponent (of the other five), I’d have to say pound-for-pound, it would have to be Chris Jericho, because no matter how many times I beat him … and beat him and beat him and beat him up, he always came back for more.”

Edge
“I’d have to say Kane, because he’s so big. And after seeing what he did to Tomko, it’s obvious he knows how to use a ladder for damaging purposes. Personally, I know I’m pretty damn dangerous as well, but I know I’m going to try to steer clear of the Big Red Monster, and Chris Benoit as well.”

Chris Benoit
“All five of them (are my biggest threat). This match is just going to be so unpredictable. I mean, you’ve got a ladder in there, and you’ve got five opponents who are all unpredictable elements themselves. So for me, I think that all five of these guys are going to be really huge threats.”

Chris Jericho
“Well that’s a loaded question. It’s like asking a guy with a large family who his favorite child is — it’s impossible to answer that, because they’re all threats. You have Shelton Benjamin, who is the Intercontinental Champion; Christian, who is a master at pulling a fast one; then there’s Edge, who is a little bit of a psycho, if you ask me; as well as two former world champions in Chris Benoit and Kane. So, I don’t know. And who’s really to say? I’ve had Ladder Matches with all of them except for Shelton, so I know that they are all vicious and lethal. Therefore, I don’t know which one is the tougher opponent, which makes it even worse because there are five guys out there ready to take my head off and ready to win this match. I’m going to have to become a pentagon and be looking in five different directions, because I’ll have five elements of destruction all pointing towards me.”

Kane
“I can’t answer that, because I don’t know the meaning of the word threat.”

Shelton Benjamin
“I’d have to say that my biggest threat will probably be Kane because the only way to get rid of him is to beat him in the head with something really hard. And if I beat the ladder over his head too much, I might not be able to climb it because of all the damage that big head would do to it. So I’ll say Kane, but not because I can’t take him out, but because the manner with which I do it might leave me without the tools I need to get to the briefcase.”
