Christian hoping to roll over World Heavyweight Champion, Batista

NEW YORK, N.Y. – They say that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and Monday night, Christian’s complaints were finally heard.
During Christian’s in-ring tirade about his victory over Chris Benoit, Mr. McMahon strolled down to the ring and interrupted the self-proclaimed “Captain Charisma” to announce the 2005 WWE Draft Lottery that will be held next month. Following his monumental proclamation, the Chairman gave Christian the opportunity of a lifetime. Next week on Raw, Christian will face the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, in athe main even of the evening.
“This is without a doubt the best news that I’ve had heard all year,” exclaimed an excited Christian after making his way to the back. “I mean I know that Batista’s been on a roll as of late, but I too have been on a roll myself. I stole the show at WrestleMania 21 in the “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match, and last week, I took out Chris Benoit, so I’m sorry to say, but Batista – “the Animal” – is next in line.”
According to Christian, he’s been held back on Raw as of late, and if he were to be drafted over to SmackDown!, and given the proper opportunity, he’d defeat the WWE Champion, John Cena, and stand atop the Thursday night mountain. Next week in Birmingham, England, Christian will have his chance to prove his claim, and despite having only a week to prepare, he still feels April 25th will be his date with destiny.
“I don’t care if I have a week, a day, or five minutes to prepare,” explained Christian, “because this is the chance I’ve been waiting for – an opportunity to prove myself in the main event – and I’m going to take the bull by the horns. And with Tyson Tomko – the “Problem Solver” – watching my back, I’m be prepared for anything.”
A victory over Batista would surely rocket Christian into WWE’s upper echelon. Another thing that a strong performance by Christian would do, whether intentional or not, is to weaken Batista, only six days before his May 1st World Heavyweight Title defense against Triple H. And seeing as how Batista interfered in the “Cerebral Assassin’s” match against Jim Ross on Monday night – costing him a sure victory – it’s very likely that “the Game” will be watching this match with special interest.
Christian, who gives up 82-pounds to Batista, is ready to do whatever it takes to get the victory, even if means scoring a controversial win, like last week’s match against “the Crippler.” According to the Toronto, Ontario, Canada native, he has one thing over Batista that will surely make all of the difference.
“Size is never an issue to me,” said Christian. “I will use what I always use, and that’s my brains. You see, that’s how I get things done – I outsmart my opponents – and I don’t think it will be any different with Batista. I have seven days to come up with a game plan, so believe me, it’s going to be fool-proof, ironclad, and unlike anything anybody’s ever seen before.”
