There's a saying that goes physical wounds will fade and heal, but mental ones shall last forever.

Whoever said that is a jerk Edge thought.

The brothers stood untied, each with his eyes staring downwards, taking in all they saw. The autumn wind blew at their hair, tugging it around their faces and bodies, sending the mass of blond strands flying giving them life. It was becoming cold, but the two men didn't seem to notice, the clouds rolled in over their heads, hiding the suns and plunging the world below into a grey darkness, still they did not move.

A mound of dirt lay at their feet, weeds burst though the dirt, making it look dirty and ugly. A single crack ran though the marble stone, it was unkept, lonely, no one had visited this place for years. It looked awful and felt horrible. Just like him, it was just like him.

Edge ran his long fingers over the marble head stone, this was the first time he had been here, since this evil person had ruined his life all those years ago.

The brothers stared down at their fathers grave, Edge wasn't the only one who had not visited in years, Christian also couldn't bring himself to come here either, the memories of his brothers permanent sacrifice flooded though his brain, the images he had so long tried to forget came raging up again.

Hot tears streamed down his face, he longed for the forgiveness, be begged for it each night of his life. His heart felt heavy inside his chest, his body ached, he needed it, God would he ever get what he had yearned for his whole life?

From the corner of his eye Edge saw his brothers tears fall silently to the dirt below, each one creating a small splash. They had been together almost a year now, a year of hurt, pain, memories, but most of all love, love that had spanned 10 long years, a brotherly love that would never, and could never die.

The younger brothers crystal blue eyes drilled into the tombstone, he hated the man that lay underneath it. He felt the anger and rage fill him, he was glad that his father was dead, he was happy, he didn't feel any remorse, he didn't want to.

Christian's mind cast back to when he was a child, he was devastated that his brother had left him, but he wasn't surprised. The torcher the older brother had been though, cut into Christian's soul, it hurt him terribly. He could not imagine what it did to Edge. But on the other hand he was in a small way happy that his brother had left, when authorities found out, he was pulled out of that house of terror, and put into a nice loving foster home. At least he was safe from his father, not of his memories.

Edge knew what his brother wanted him to hear, as the tears fell he suddenly realized what his little brother longed for, he needed to hear the words. Edge couldn't believe that he hadn't spoken them. He felt them inside his body, he expressed them with his actions, but his lips had never spoken them.

Christian felt his body being wrapped up in his brothers. His arms gripped around Edge's back, holding tightly his brothers body against his own. One of Edge's strong hands held his brothers back and the other cradled his head. He rest his shaking chin on his little brothers soft golden hair. The tears couldn't be stopped now, both let them flow freely, streaming down their faces, the brothers held onto one another.

Finally, after 10 long painful years of waiting, the words escaped Edge's lips, filling Christian's aching body, finally, finally putting him at ease.

"I forgive you little brother, can you forgive me?"
