I turned my head a little further to get a better look at the men. The blond in the middle, his hair shorter than the others. The two men that flanked him, one taller, the other shorter. Golden locks cascading down their backs, their was no doubt in my mind that they were brothers. Their hair identical, faces reflection one another.

it wasn't until I saw him smile, the middle on, that my heart lurched in fear. Two fangs, sharp like daggers waiting.

I stopped my legs unable to work, thundering, panicking my heart jumped into my throat. I watched, my eyes widening in fear. The man spoke, silently so my ears could not hear, I stared, gasping as the brothers smiled nodding. I couldn't breath, my lungs, gasping for breath my lips parted. All three of them were vampires.

I learnt the stories, heart the tales, old women spoke of vampires taking women, draining their blood, their sense for virgins amazing.

I was a virgin, 21, unmarried. I didn't need to think twice, the adrenaline pulsating though my body, my heart racing, lungs drawing in the air frantically. The basket dropping by the side of the road, vegetables squashed, spilling their juices, I didn't care. If only I could get out of this forest, no use screaming. Tall trees their branches capturing any attempt at screams.

Their footsteps loud, getting closer, they were closing in, no way I could out run them. My mind racing, every muscle in my body aching. I clutched onto my dress lifting it around my knees, no need to be lady like now, my mind was set on one thing, escape.

There was no way I could out run them, my hear pounding in pain, begging my lungs for more breath. My only hope to hide in the forest. I made a sharp right turn, disappearing from the path into the eerie dim light of the forest.

"Your first hunt, go drink and return!!" His voice ordering them, piercing my heart. I guessed the voice belonged to the middle man. I didn't care, my mind set on one thing and one thing only...escape.

Dodging tall trees, I raced, screaming though the forest my legs took me, I prayed they would lead me to escape, Two sets of footsteps I heard racing after me. My lungs pounding, air they pleaded for air, aching every muscle in my body forced me onward. The pain in my side, growing spreading though my ribs, as though someone had stabbed me over and over again in my side. My long dress flapped around my knees as I ran wildly though the forest, desperately dodging trees, pleading for my escape.

"Christian go around" one of the blonds ordered the other.

My head spun slightly to catch the younger blond, nod, his body racing along my right side. I watched almost tranquilly as his hair of gold fanned out behind his head as he ran.

I wasn't that stupid, if he was coming along my right side, I was going left. Barely managing to avoid the tree that loomed before me I twisted sprinting off to my left. We must have been almost halfway into the forest by now, I had to escape, every inch of my body screamed out in pain, begging me to stop, I knew if I did I would surely die.

No words escaped my lips, though the fear bubbled up tightening in my throat, silently I thanked my legs for stopping me before I ploughed into him. He stood before me, hardly out of breath, locks of gold hanging messily around his face and shoulders. My mind raced in fear and panic. No, I didn't want to die, not like this, I could only think of one thing escape, my legs complied.
