Entry #55 Friday, Febuary 13th, 2004

But now switching to the international scene, I must say that our recent trip to Japan was simply an awesome tour! The travel was no day in the park (I mean how can a super-hero get jet lag?) but once we got there it was incredible. The last night in Saitama will go down as one of my favorite matches in my career. Finally getting a win over Christian, the creepy little bastard that he is, was just icing on the cake, it was the crowd that made this match so special. Their appreciation and energy for us, pushed us to really beat the piss out of each other and we had a really, really good match. The crowd cheered huge for The Octopus which I haven't used since my indy days, but I bet you will see on WWE TV soon (hint, hint) and they exploded for the Shining Wizard as well. For those of you that don't know, the Shining Wizard was popularized in Japan by The Great Muta, Keiji Mutoh, one of my personal all-time favorites. While my version is modified to fit my style and to add my own personal touch to it, I still honor Mutoh and the move by keeping the original name for it.
